Learning to read makes children strong.

At every school there are boys and girls who have problems reading, speaking or understanding. They need specific attention. Schools are working hard on this problem, but they cannot manage everything – especially not on their own.

MENTOR HAMBURG e.V. places voluntary reading mentors with schools. They have the time and dedication to support one child at a time. This attention gradually makes children appreciate reading, speaking and understanding.

Children who could benefit from the 1 to 1 support are introduced to us by their teachers. Of course their parents are asked for their agreement.
